Summary:
The Walmart Retail Operations Specialist provides vital support to the retail operations, sales, and decorating teams and defined accounts. This role is responsible for leading administrative and program management duties including the planning, implementation, and execution of programs, special projects, and initiatives specific to key or national accounts at the Bentonville office. This role will directly supervise the part-time office administrator and will be required to provide subject-matter guidance to coworkers in ways that enhance efficiency and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Product testing coordination and support. Responsible for leading product testing activities and documenting results.
- Online cake ordering and operational tablet execution including online accuracy audits, online cake ordering asset transfers, asset management, supporting data combination builds, supporting data uploads, in store and online program continuity audits.
- Marketing program timeline management and coordination with other marketing program initiatives including sample tracking, team/resource coordination, partner support, and item drop off.
- Program readiness timeline leadership and coordination including team assignments, printed material availability, seasonal presentation (initial builds, social listening, local market pictures and in-store-bakery (ISB) flyer gathering/archiving), asset management, sample coordination, store messaging and communication, and compiling technical notes for distribution.
- Store/club issue resolution. Collaborate with appropriate partners at Walmart and Sam’s Club to report and align on incoming issues and compile data on opportunities.
- Offsite event planning, including yearly business meetings, holiday events, shareholder events and photoshoots. Prepare sample and ensure product is ready to ship, shipments are finalized, schedules are coordinated and provide logistic support as needed.
- Sample ordering and testing support. Coordinate samples with defined programs, vendor partner items, vendor supplies, office supplies and log/receipt reporting.
- Act as the Bentonville facilities coordinator. Provide direct supervision to the part time office administrator to ensure facility needs are met including pest control services, sample kitting coordination, printed material coordination and schedule coordination of external vendors.
- Communicate with external partners for training, sample/kitting coordination, printed material coordination and schedule coordination.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a related role/field including project or product coordinator, customer management, or sales administration.
- Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with in or with retail stores is strongly preferred.
- Bakery experience and/or cake decorating experience a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience coordinating webinars or online meetings required.

Physical & Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear/listen. Frequent use of hands to finger, handle or touch objects. Occasionally required to stand and move about while standing. Frequent lifting and carrying over 10 pounds while moving about. Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds. Frequent driving of a car may be required. Work in excess of 40 hours per week may be required. Mental requirements include constant reading and interpretation of information and data, making decisions, organization, problem solving and time management. This role interfaces with customers via phone and in person and therefore must demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication. Incumbent must be able to listen and anticipate customer needs and meet customer expectations as well as identify and elevate issues rapidly.
Work Environment:
Work is performed onsite, in an office environment (Bentonville, AR). Remote work is limited and infrequent. Work may be performed at customer store locations.
