Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Ashland, OH
Salary: $70,000- $85,000/year
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained within our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing quality management systems and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Conduct audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to investigate and mitigate quality issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Monitor and report on quality metrics and KPIs to management
- Manage corrective actions (CAPA) and preventative actions to enhance product quality
- Provide training and support to staff on quality management processes and standards
- Ensure documentation and records are maintained in accordance with ISO requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in quality engineering or quality assurance roles
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards is mandatory
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and CAPA processes is a bonus
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
