Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer (Junior to mid level) to join our team. This role will focus on supporting quality control and process engineering initiatives within the manufacturing environment, specifically in the chemicals and paper production sectors. The ideal candidate will assist in process optimization and improvements while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of process control strategies.
- Conduct quality control audits and perform investigations into process deviations.
- Support the optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new technology implementations and process improvements.
- Analyze performance parameters and provide data-driven insights for continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in troubleshooting equipment issues and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to the preparation of production budgets and assist in outage planning and scheduling.
- Document processes and maintain quality data for auditing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with quality control and manufacturing processes in the chemicals or paper industry.
- Basic knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience with data analysis and process optimization techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
