A respected and growing legal team is seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal to support attorneys in safeguarding the copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets that power today's most exciting businesses.
Whether you're already local or considering a move from California, this opportunity offers flexibility and support. The client is willing to cover local relocation costs and will fly qualified candidates out for interviews.
What You’ll Do:
As the go-to support for the IP legal team, you’ll play a crucial role in every stage of intellectual property protection:
Copyright Law: Support applications, filings, and infringement cases. Research ownership claims and help ensure creative works are protected.
Patent Law: Collaborate with patent attorneys to conduct searches, track deadlines, and prepare documentation for filings and renewals.
Trademark Law: Assist with trademark applications and searches, monitor for potential infringements, and maintain precise brand protection records.
Client Interaction: Be the bridge between clients and attorneys, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the process.
What You Bring:
Strong research and legal writing skills
Familiarity with copyright, trademark, and patent databases
A solid understanding of intellectual property laws and procedures
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational habits
Ability to thrive under deadlines, especially with time-sensitive filings
