We are a leading recruiting firm partnering with a premier food manufacturing client in Winston-Salem, NC,on a search for a Manager, Technical Services. This is a high-impact leadership role driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across all technical functions at a key plant.
This position will lead the entire Engineering, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement (CI) function for a major manufacturing facility.

- Executive Visibility: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be on the senior leadership team, executing the plant's long-term operational and technical strategy.

Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Direction: Provide planning and direction for all Engineering, Maintenance, and CI activities to optimize resource utilization.
- Maintenance Excellence: Implement and oversee robust Preventative and Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) programs. Ensure optimal equipment reliability and maintain critical parts inventory.
- Capital & CI Management: Develop the annual Capital Plan, control project budgets, and lead execution to deliver cost savings and performance improvements.
- Team Leadership: Lead a technical force of 30 employees (2 direct reports), providing functional direction, performance coaching, and technical training.
- Utilities Ownership: Manage all plant Utility systems (Natural Gas, Electric, Steam, Water, Compressed Air). Identify loss opportunities and drive efficiency improvements.
- Compliance: Provide technical expertise for safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive management/leadership experience in technical services, maintenance, or engineering within food or high-speed manufacturing.
- Education: Technical or Engineering degree is strongly preferred.
- Leadership: A minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience leading technical teams.
- Skills: Proven electrical and mechanical aptitude, strong project management, and a verifiable record of driving cost savings and plant performance.
Preferred: High-speed food processing/packaging experience. Certifications in Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, SQF, or HACCP.
