Direct Counsel is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join a nationally recognized practice group in Houston. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with at least two years of labor and employment litigation experience and a strong foundation in complex matters.
Key Experience Sought
Candidates should have experience with:

Temporary restraining order and temporary injunction proceedings
-
Trade secret misappropriation and noncompete litigation
-
Wage and hour class action matters
-
Single-plaintiff employment litigation
-
Discovery, motion practice, pleadings, and court filings
Experience with trial preparation in state and federal courts, as well as participation in settlement conferences and negotiations, is preferred.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings:

A JD from an ABA-accredited law school
-
Active membership and good standing with the Texas Bar
-
Strong legal writing and research skills
-
Experience drafting motions and managing discovery
-
A positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
-
Demonstrated client service and business development abilities
Top academic credentials and prior law firm experience are required.
Compensation & Benefits

Expected base salary: $240,000
