Shift: Friday – Monday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay Information

• Base Rate: $17.90/hour

• Weekend Rate: $18.90/hour

Job Overview

Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Toms River group home, supporting adults with disabilities.

This role is ideal for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact while helping residents build independence and life skills.

Responsibilities

Direct Support Professionals provide hands-on care, guidance, and mentorship to residents while helping them develop independence and life skills. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist residents with daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)

• Support health and wellness, including personal medical care

• Encourage community participation and recreation

• Promote emotional and social development (coping skills, communication, friendships)

• Assist with budgeting, money management, and other life skills

• Foster independence, dignity, and autonomy for residents

No prior experience required – paid training provided!

Qualifications

• 18 years or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to successfully complete:

  • State and Federal criminal background checks

  • Drug screening

  • Pre-employment physical and PPD

• Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
