Summary:

Quality Claims is seeking a Junior Private Investigator to support our investigative team. Candidates are not required to hold an individual investigator’s license but must be able to successfully complete a background screening to meet eligibility requirements. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and experience in real case work for a private investigative and hazard claims adjustment firm. Responsibilities include skip tracing, background research, locating individuals, and other investigative tasks.

This role is ideal for those interested in developing a career in private investigation or who have transferable experience in areas such as research, analysis, law enforcement, military service, insurance, or related fields.

Description of Duties:

  • Gather information, documentation, and physical evidence related to investigations.

  • Conduct online research, including genealogy research.

  • Request and obtain records from online platforms and public agencies.

  • Interview individuals to obtain relevant information.

  • Prepare professional reports and email communications.

  • Compile and organize supporting documents.

  • Track billable hours and assist in invoice preparation.

  • Maintain detailed case notes and update case files.

  • Assist in sourcing field investigators for in-person assignments nationwide.

  • Provide support to the investigative team throughout the case process.

  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support team goals and operational needs.

  • May perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.

  • May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.

Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Some college coursework preferred (fields such as Criminology, Journalism, or related studies) or submission of a cover letter or writing sample.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfortable conducting phone interviews and professional conversations.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Curious, analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in conducting thorough online research.

  • Spanish-English bilingual proficiency preferred but not required.

Work Schedule:

This is a 100% office position requiring your physical presence Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salary Range:

The salary for this position typically ranges from $21.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.

Work Environment:

A corporate office environment with a professional setting, characterized by a quiet to moderate noise level. Employees may work in individual or shared workspaces, with standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and telephones. Occasional meetings, collaborative discussions, and business activities may contribute to variations in noise levels.
