Agile Project Lead (Hybrid - 6-Month Contract)

Location: Denver, CO Area (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

Are you an experienced Agile professional looking for a challenging 6-month contract? We're seeking a talented individual to join our Business Innovation, Technology, and Security (BITS) team, which is responsible for managing our organization's IT services and providers. In this role, you'll be a key point of contact for all technology-related matters, helping to coordinate IT support, operations, and the implementation of new systems.

About the Role

As an Agile Project Lead, you'll play a crucial part in advancing our agile transformation efforts. You'll lead project planning, work closely with various teams to define project goals and priorities, and make important design decisions. This role involves overseeing project budgets, collaborating with product owners, facilitating agile meetings (ceremonies), and managing project communications.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead project planning and work with different teams to define project backlogs and sprint content.

  • Manage project budgets and work closely with product owners.

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and backlog grooming sessions.

  • Develop and distribute project communications.

  • Participate in early project discussions to help define scope and planning.

  • Gather and understand customer needs.

  • Help build and support high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts.

  • Contribute to "inspect and adapt" activities like system demos and retrospectives.

Must Have's Skills & Experience:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and project management.

  • Ability to track budgets effectively.

  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities.

  • Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a desire to learn continuously.

  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven experience fostering high-performing teams, promoting collaboration, and resolving conflicts.

  • Experience with activities like system demos, qualitative/quantitative measurements, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience using Agile-tracking tools like Jira and Confluence (required).

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (preferred).

  • Agile certification(s) (preferred).
