FLOATER POSITION (ON-CALL)
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional Floater that is needed. Shifts that need to be filled will be assigned to the floater. Some shifts are scheduled and can be planned ahead; some shifts are spur of the moment and may need to be worked on short notice or no notice. Travel to shifts includes but is not limited to the areas in and around Eunice, Youngsville, Lafayette and Opelousas. Conditional Mileage will be paid for travel. Job duties may include but are not limited to Supervision, Transportation, Medication Administration, Cooking, Light Housekeeping, Laundry, Assistance with bathing, toileting, transferring, and other activities of daily living. Floater must have access to a safely operating insured vehicle, and must present a valid driver's license, a current insurance card, and a current inspection sticker. Orientation is 2 days. Floater is also required to take a 2-day Medication Administration class unless able to present a current Medication Certificate. Pay is $12 per hour depending on experience and/or certification. Details and other conditions of employment will be discussed during the interview process.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Valid Drivers License or ID
3. Working Cell Phone with Data Plan
4. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report

6. Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player
