FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Maintenance Technician directs and organizes the installation, upkeep and repair of a large facility. This position is generally identified for an experienced technician who ensures the facility is kept in good and safe working condition through their leadership, communication and maintenance upkeep skills.
Janitorial Team Lead
ü Working beside other custodial staff assures work assignments/tasks are completed timely.
ü Conducts regular inspections of the property, including building systems, to identify problems and determine necessary maintenance. Oversees repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems.
ü Develop/implement/maintain preventive maintenance plan to keep all operations running smoothly.
ü Order and maintain an inventory of supplies, parts, and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
ü Ensure work sites and projects comply with health and safety regulations.
ü Act as a liaison with outside vendors/contractors for repairs or installation projects.
ü Serve as a bridge between senior management and custodial staff, relaying information and reporting exposed maintenance issues/concerns
Required Skills and Qualifications
ü Strong working knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
ü Clear and effective communication skills to interact with staff, management and outside vendors.
ü Strong decision/problem solving skills to troubleshoot issues and address/abate quickly.
ü Has a working knowledge of facility property maintenance.
