What You'll Do

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and incontinence care.
  • Help with meals: set‑up, cueing, feeding assistance, and escorting to the dining room or appointments.
  • Support safe transfers and positioning using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities and social events; offer one‑to‑one engagement as needed.
  • Pass medications and complete medication‑related documentation if trained and delegated according to policy.
  • Complete basic housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents as assigned.
  • Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, appetite, or mobility to the nurse or supervisor.
  • Document care and follow individualized care plans and delegated tasks within your scope.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures while protecting residents' privacy and dignity.

What We're Looking For

  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with a genuine desire to help older adults.
  • Able to provide hands‑on personal care and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfortable communicating with residents, families, and team members in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Able to read, write, and document in English to follow care plans and complete basic electronic documentation.
  • Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, transferring, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds and moving throughout the community.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Preferred (not required)

  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, senior living, or long‑term care.
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
