Join our senior living team as a Resident Assistant / Caregiver and help residents with their daily living needs while promoting dignity, safety, and comfort. You will provide hands‑on personal care, offer social and emotional support, and help create a warm, home‑like environment for the residents you serve.
What You'll Do
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Help with meals: set‑up, cueing, feeding assistance, and escorting to the dining room or appointments.
- Support safe transfers and positioning using proper techniques and equipment.
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities and social events; offer one‑to‑one engagement as needed.
- Pass medications and complete medication‑related documentation if trained and delegated according to policy.
- Complete basic housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents as assigned.
- Observe and report changes in condition, behavior, appetite, or mobility to the nurse or supervisor.
- Document care and follow individualized care plans and delegated tasks within your scope.
- Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures while protecting residents' privacy and dignity.
What We're Looking For
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with a genuine desire to help older adults.
- Able to provide hands‑on personal care and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfortable communicating with residents, families, and team members in a respectful and professional manner.
- Able to read, write, and document in English to follow care plans and complete basic electronic documentation.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, transferring, pushing, or pulling up to 75 pounds and moving throughout the community.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Preferred (not required)
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, senior living, or long‑term care.
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
