Estate Planning and Probate Associate
Starting Salary: $145,000 - $175,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Estate Planning and Probate Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist clients in navigating the complexities of estate planning and probate processes, ensuring that their assets are managed and distributed according to their wishes while complying with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with estate planning and probate matters
- Conduct legal research related to estate tax and inheritance law
- Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Consult with clients to understand their estate planning needs and goals
- Provide litigation support in estate-related disputes
- Administer trusts and oversee the execution of estate plans
- Prepare and file necessary probate documents with the court
- Stay updated on changes in laws affecting estate planning and probate
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active state bar license
- Experience in estate planning, probate law, or related fields
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent client consultation and communication abilities
- Proficiency in document drafting and review
- Knowledge of estate tax regulations and inheritance laws
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
