Position Summary

The PM Laundry Attendant plays an essential role in ensuring the cleanliness, quality, and timely delivery of linens and terry for the hotel. This position supports the evening laundry operations and helps maintain the high standards of the Westin brand. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Schedule Requirement

This position requires a firm commitment to the PM shift:
???? 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
???? Rotating days, including weekends and holidays as needed
Reliable attendance is essential due to the operational demands of the hotel.

Primary ResponsibilitiesLaundry Operations

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, terry, uniforms, and other laundry items.

  • Operate commercial washers, dryers, and related equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Load and unload machines, ensuring all cycles are completed properly.

  • Check linen for stains, tears, or damage and treat or separate accordingly.

  • Ensure all linens are processed, folded, and stored neatly to hotel standards.

Quality & Efficiency

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room at all times.

  • Follow brand standards for linen quality, presentation, and handling.

  • Meet nightly production expectations to support Housekeeping’s next-day operations.

  • Report any mechanical issues or equipment concerns immediately to leadership.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety guidelines, chemical-handling procedures, and equipment instructions.

  • Wear required PPE and adhere to hotel and brand safety protocols.

  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, hazard-free work environment.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Communicate with Housekeeping leadership regarding linen shortages or operational needs.

  • Assist coworkers when necessary to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.

  • Exhibit a positive attitude and maintain professionalism with team members and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 30–40 lbs. consistently.

  • Must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time.

  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to the required PM schedule.

  • Ability to work in a warm environment due to equipment heat.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
