Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support an elementary school setting in Salt Lake City, UT. This position involves working directly with students to assess, evaluate, and support their academic, social, and emotional development throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and interventions to address behavioral and emotional challenges
- Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on student mental health and learning strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license appropriate for the state of Utah
- Experience working in elementary school environments preferred
- Knowledge of child development, assessment tools, and behavioral intervention techniques
- Strong munication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize workload efficiently
