Job Description

Job Description

About the Role:

• We are building our analytics capability in-house to accelerate BI development, improve operational visibility, and strengthen ownership of our data foundation.

• We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to own our analytics platform end-to-end — from data ingestion and modeling to metrics, dashboards, integrations, and cost management.

• This is not a dashboard-only role. You will be responsible for designing and operating the data systems the business runs on.

• While we are currently evaluating tools such as BigQuery and Looker, we are open to alternative technologies if they better serve performance, usability, scalability, and cost control. The right candidate will help shape the long-term architecture.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the analytics platform (warehouse, transformations, BI layer)

• Define and document core business metrics

• Build durable, well-modeled datasets

• Integrate data from ERP, CRM, WMS, finance, and other systems

• Design reliable ingestion pipelines

• Enable operational dashboards and reporting

• Monitor data quality and system health

• Control and optimize cloud and BI costs

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering roles

• Advanced SQL and strong data modeling skills

• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses

• Experience supporting BI tools

• Experience building production-grade pipelines

• Operational mindset with cost awareness

Compensation

• Salary range: $90,000 – $130,000 depending on experience, plus full benefits, PTO, 401k.

What Success Looks Like:

• Faster BI development cycles

• Trusted and consistent business metrics

• Operational teams relying on dashboards daily

• Predictable and controlled analytics infrastructure costs

• Reliable and adaptable analytics platform

Before You Leap:

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC
