Industrial Controls Engineer


We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in the Memphis metro area, in a role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for automation processes at a high volume, highly automated manufacturing and production facility. In this role, the ideally qualified engineer will play a critical role in enhancing system performance and ensuring operational efficiency across our projects.

Some of what your role will be responsible on a day to day basis, includes:

  • Design and develop control systems for automation processes
  • Program PLCs and develop SCADA and HMI interfaces
  • Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance of control systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control solutions
  • Perform safety assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Utilize CAD software for control system design and documentation
  • Implement process control strategies including PID control
  • Support robotics applications and instrumentation integration
  • Conduct testing and validation of control systems prior to deployment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in PLC programming and automation
  • Experience/Certification with ROCKWELL AUTOMATION products, including AB CompactLogix and ControlLogix systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, HMI development, and process control
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and control circuits
  • Experience with VFDs and AC/DC motors
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in control systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software and modeling tools such as Matlab and Simulink
  • Certifications in Rockwell Automation and Allen-Bradley systems are a plus, and will be given priority consideration.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
