Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Corporate Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. This position requires an individual with extensive experience in corporate and commercial litigation, particularly in Delaware courts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing critical support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and edit legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence.
• Manage court filings in Delaware state and federal courts, with particular emphasis on the Court of Chancery and Superior Court.
• Maintain case files and litigation calendars, ensuring deadlines, hearings, and court appearances are accurately tracked.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research on corporate governance and litigation topics, utilizing industry-standard tools.
• Coordinate with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors to facilitate case progress.
• Organize and oversee discovery materials, including electronic document reviews and productions.
• Create trial binders, organize witness files, and prepare exhibits to support courtroom proceedings.
• Ensure confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive client information.• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant, with a focus on corporate or commercial litigation.
• Familiarity with Delaware Court of Chancery procedures is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification from an accredited program.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Lexis or Westlaw, and e-filing systems like File & ServeXpress.
• Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
