Ducklings Early Learning Center is currently looking for a creative and caring Center Director to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of the children in your care at all times.
• Work directly with owner, assistant or co-director, staff, students, and families.
• Oversee the daily smooth running of the center, ensuring that it is always adhering to Ducklings mission, philosophy, curriculum, and business model.
• Ensure State Licensing guidelines and regulations are met or exceeded at all times.
• Attain and maintain Keystone STAR levels.
• Attain and maintain NAEYC accreditation.
• Organize building maintenance and repair in accordance with product warranty, licensing requirements, or immediate need. Ensure all furniture and materials are clean and in good repair.
• Order supplies for office, art closet, classrooms, special events, and janitor’s closet.
• Supervise cleaning schedules in the classrooms and building.
• Meet with all inspectors for annual renewals, i.e. Department of Health, Department of Human Services, Fire Marshall, etc.
• Accurately manage all technology platforms for Ducklings center management including but not limited to Procare, Tadpoles, and Teaching Strategies Gold.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable.
• Manage staff schedules and time cards.
• Schedule and perform interviews. Manage hiring and firing with the approval of the owner.
• Supervise all staff and monitor performance and professionalism daily.
• Complete staff evaluations and reviews.
• Complete classroom observations and share feedback with classroom teachers.
• Oversee lesson planning and classroom activities to ensure appropriateness and quality.
• Schedule and conduct school tours and visitations of prospective families.
• Manage student registration/enrollment and accurate classroom projections.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and manage staff trainings.
• Coordinate monthly decorating plan, budget, and execute school events.
• Liaison with families, return phone calls and emails in a timely and professional.
• Enforce policies and procedures set forth by owner, Ducklings corporate, and licensing agencies.
• Complete required trainings and attend other professional development meetings as needed.
• Always conduct yourself in a manner that honors the early childhood profession and Ducks everywhere.
