Ideally we are seeking someone in the Dallas or Houston Area for a hybrid role, but will consider other locations in TX if you are willing to travel to these locations as needed. At this time, we are not considering applicants outside the state of TX.

Job Summary
The director of contracts is a hands-on management role that is responsible for a wide range of contract management duties with focus on client contract negotiation and execution, subcontractor, and supplier contracts, as well as providing contractual support to HR, Facilities, and Procurement. You will identify and implement best practices associated with the contracting process to continually look to increase efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Draft, review, negotiate and revise Master Service Agreements, Task Orders/Statements of Work, Change Orders/Amendments, Consulting Agreements, and other agreements for multiple departments on a timely basis, exercising independent judgment and escalating complex legal issues for resolution when necessary.
- Establish and foster effective working relationships with the business, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the business and its products to effectively analyze risk tolerance under applicable circumstances.
- Respond to inquiries within established internal service level agreements.
- Serve as a point of contact for contract questions and provide as-needed contract training to internal business units.
- Provide weekly support for contract analytics, including data gathering and reporting.
- Utilize a contract management system, along with other reporting platforms, to ensure all work is documented for reporting purposes.
- Proactively identify contract trends to advise business leaders and decision-makers on contracting and related business/legal matters.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and clients/contractors/suppliers ensuring contractual requirements are maintained.
- Serve as an “as-needed” backup for other members of Legal/Risk Department.
Education and Experience
- Minimum 8 -10 years' experience within contract management, ideally in industrial or electrical services or a high risk and or regulated environment
- Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree preferred) is highly desired but not required if you have the above experience
- Experience in a high volume and fast-paced environment, with competing priorities
- Experience working with complex contracts and bids
- Experience working within contract negotiation in a publicly traded company (preferred)
- Experience with contract analytics and reporting
- Experience with contract management systems, including the use of artificial intelligence
