Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Mount Vernon, OH, is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support students across K-12 grades. This contract position spans the full school year (NSY) and offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment dedicated to fostering student growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs and inform individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling services and support to students dealing with academic, social, or emotional challenges.
- Assist with behavioral assessments and facilitate positive behavioral interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure pliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and student services.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure for the state of Ohio.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention techniques.
- Ability to municate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Skills in data collection, analysis, and report writing.
