About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Chemical Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you’ll play a key role in transforming sugar beets into sugar through process optimization, safety leadership, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role spanning both lab and factory operations, offering the chance to make a direct impact on production, quality, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead with safety—model best practices and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Collect, analyze, and report process data to drive performance improvements.
  • Serve as a technical resource across operations, supporting both lab and factory functions.
  • Manage and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and laboratory methods.
  • Oversee laboratory equipment, personnel, and standardized testing procedures.
  • Provide daily performance reports and actionable recommendations to management.
  • Train employees on quality, process chemistry, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Take on special engineering projects during off-campaign periods.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred).
  • 2–4 years’ lab or process engineering experience (sugar industry experience a plus).
  • Strong skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and statistical evaluation.
  • Solid knowledge of laboratory testing methods and continuous improvement practices.
  • Effective communicator with leadership and training experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); SAP/LIMS/WIMS a plus.
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities.
