Want to join us at Bach To Rock in Marlborough as anEarly Childhood Music Instructor?! We want you! You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality music curriculum (that we provide) to our youngest students, ranging from 1 year old to age 7. This vital role involves fostering a lifelong love for music in young learners and their families AND Developing foundational musical skills in an inclusive and engaging environment here at our brand new school!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include the following but the individual will also be expected to perform all the duties necessary which are customarily performed by a person holding this position.
- Provides instruction in group or individual format using a proprietary curriculum based on method books and specific methodology and arrangements created for Bach to Rock Music Schools
- Creates a warm and welcoming class environment in which young children can feel safe and cared for
- Moves, sets up and breaks down equipment at the school and school events
- Assists B2R management with customer service and prospect phone calls when needed
- Assists with moving furniture, equipment and materials
- Assists in basic repair of minor site equipment and instruments
Knowledge and Abilities

- Must demonstrate an understanding of basic music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts in a developmentally appropriate and age appropriate manner with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Must play a musical instrument piano, keys, or guitar preferred
- Must be able to sing in tune and a cappella (unaccompanied)
- Must demonstrate the ability to run basic sound equipment, computers and power point presentations
- Must be able to be physically present at the facility during its hours of operation
- Ability to pass a background check
Education, Work Experience and/or Licensure
Certificate and / or degrees in one or more of the following:
- Elementary Education
- Music Education
- Early Childhood Education
- Music Therapy
Those who are currently enrolled in a degree program in one of the three listed majors will also be considered
- Years of experience in the subject area may be substituted for degree or licensure
Language Skills
- Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills. Additional language skills a plus.

- Ability to work during the company's normal business hours that includes weekends and evenings
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, travel up and down stairs, crouch, stoop and reach
- Ability to lift and move the equipment typically associated with B2R's day-to-day operation, e.g., amplifiers, keyboards, recording equipment, light furniture, etc.
