Job Description

Job Title: Legal Assistant (Litigation Support)
Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Location: Potomac MD

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant with litigation experience to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, managing case files, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth communication with clients and courts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
  • Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and court appearances
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
  • Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings
  • Assist with trial preparation and document management

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in litigation
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
