Position Summary: The Engineer Intern is responsible for recommendations to improve efficiency, quality,
and reduce cost within the manufacturing process. Implement improvements in the manufacturing plant to improve reliability and meet all contract, federal and state requirements.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
- Analyze, evaluate, and test new and existing processes.
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Assist teams in carrying out implementation of the procedures you design.
- Write reports to document all process changes.
- Clearly communicate ideas and findings to management and colleagues.
- Manage cost and time constraints.
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
- Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

- Complete other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
- Currently attending College working on Engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent technical skills.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical processes.
- Solidworks skills preferred.
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Good energy and a positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Able to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.).
- Able to function capably in a production environment using standard equipment (machine tools, hand tools, measuring devices, etc.).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to produce.
- Participate in required company safety programs, trainings and PPE guidelines.
