Position Summary - Part-Time Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 9a-2pm
The DSP will provide individualized 1:1 supported employment services to help individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Down Syndrome, mental health diagnoses, or other barriers to obtain and maintain competitive, integrated employment in the community. The DSP assists individuals in identifying vocational goals, preparing for work, obtaining competitive community jobs, and maintaining long-term employment. This role focuses on job development, job coaching, employer engagement, and ongoing vocational supports to ensure long-term success.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct vocational assessments and identify the individual’s strengths, interests, skills, and job goals.

Provide job development, resume building, interview preparation, application assistance, and employer outreach.

Coordinate job trials, situational assessments, and community-based work experiences.

Provide on-the-job coaching, skill-building, and task instruction to support job retention.

Build and maintain professional relationships with local employers and workforce partners.

Monitor employment progress and provide follow-along supports as needed.

Maintain timely, accurate, person-centered documentation (service notes) per Medicaid and MCO standards.

Collaborate with clinical teams, guardians, care coordinators, and family members.

Ensure all services align with NC 1915(i), Innovations Waiver, VR (Voc Rehab), and MCO guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Valid NC Driver’s License and reliable transportation with auto insurance.

Ability to pass background check.
Preferred
-
At least 1 years of experience supporting individuals with IDD/MH/TBI OR a combination of education and experience per NC service definition.

Prior experience providing Supported Employment or other 1915i services

Familiarity with Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)

CPR/First Aid, NCI, or other relevant certifications - (Will Train upon Hire).
