We are looking to hire for evening shifts. The schedule would be 4p-10p.
Job Overview:
As a Direct Service Professional (DSP), your main job is to help out individuals receiving services by supporting them in their daily lives. You'll be working closely with the client, their family, and the team to make sure they get the best care possible. This is an important position where safety is key.
What You'll Do:
- Help clients with their personal care, daily activities, and communication.
- Take clients out into the community for fun, educational, or recreational activities.
- Encourage independence, build their confidence, and help them make friends.
- Work on the goals in their Individual Program Plan (IPP) and keep track of progress.
- Fill out time, documentation, and mileage logs accurately and turn them in on time .
- Join meetings to help create and adjust the client’s care plan.
- Keep track of medications and transport clients safely to where they need to go.
- Attend staff training and team meetings to stay updated.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED or 1 year of experience in the field
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (renewed annually)
- Preemployment drug screening
