Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 special education opportunity is available in Northfield, VT, for the uping school year. This contract position focuses on providing tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across multiple grade levels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, therapists, and families.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to acmodate varying abilities and learning styles.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to ensure academic and social growth.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and self-advocacy.
- municate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and share progress.
- Maintain pliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
- Strong understanding of individualized instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and assistive technologies.
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage diverse classroom environments and address individual student needs effectively.
