Our team is dedicated to excellence, precision, and collaboration. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our Livermore office. This role requires strong knowledge of roofing and waterproofing systems, excellent estimating and project management skills, and the ability to foster long-term client and internal relationships.
Key Responsibilities:Estimating & Preconstruction
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimates for commercial roofing and waterproofing projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to ensure accurate scope coverage.
- Develop bid proposals, including qualifications, exclusions, and alternates.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
- Lead the pre-bid process, ensuring all documentation and estimates are complete and submitted on time.
Project Management
- Manage awarded projects from contract through closeout.
- Oversee job costs, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability.
- Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure scope execution and quality control.
- Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, permits, and other required project documentation.
- Track and forecast budgets, reporting project performance to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Client & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners.
- Support business development by identifying new project opportunities with existing clients.
- Represent Courtney, Inc. professionally in pre-bid meetings, project meetings, and client presentations.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of commercial roofing/waterproofing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of estimating, job costing, and project budgeting.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Sage 100 or similar estimating/project software a plus.
- Proven ability to build relationships and lead project teams.
Pay: $100-150k (TOTAL PACKAGE)
