The legal secretary/receptionist provides administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members, while managing front desk responsibilities. The role involves handling incoming calls, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, drafting legal documents, filing, and maintaining the organization of the office.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and visitors, ensure proper sign-in, and notify appropriate staff members of their arrival.
• Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls. Take and relay messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and conferences for attorneys and paralegals.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, such as correspondence, motions, pleadings, and subpoenas, under the guidance of attorneys or paralegals.
• Maintain a proper filing system for legal documents and client information.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in legal studies, office administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a legal secretary or receptionist in a law office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is preferred.
