CNC Machinist/Programmer
A manufacturing company in Chicago, IL is hiring a first-shift CNC Machinist/Programmer to support production by programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes. This role is hands-on with tight-tolerance machining and requires experience with Mastercam and G-Code to deliver high-quality precision parts.

Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist

• Program CNC lathes using Mastercam and G-Code
• Set up and operate CNC engine lathes with Fanuc controls
• Machine metal parts to tolerances of up to +/- .001”
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Repair steel and aluminum cores on CNC lathes
• Perform measurements with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
• Maintain accuracy and quality throughout all production tasks

Requirements of the CNC Machinist

• 5+ years of CNC setup and operation experience
• Proficiency in G-Code and Mastercam programming
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled in using precision measuring equipment with solid math skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing accurate, high-quality parts
• Experience with Fanuc controls and CNC lathes (Doosan preferred)

1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $35.00 - $40.00 an hour, based on experience
