Job DescriptionSalary: $45,0000 - $55,000 experience based



Position Summary

We are seeking a field technician with beginner level experience with repairing commercial coffee equipment to join our growing technical department. The ideal candidate will have a background in coffee with a desire to grow as a technician, excellent team skills, and a customer-centric mindset.

A field technician will be responsible for maneuvering, installing, maintaining and removing coffee equipment as needed.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Installation and maintenance of client owned and loaned coffee equipment according toRival Bros standards
  • Installation and maintenance of coffee equipment in Rival Bros retail locations
  • Documentation of daily activity in the form of a service ticketing system
  • Assists in keeping track of parts inventory
  • Assists in monitoring customer equipment maintenance schedules
  • Occasionally may be asked to assist sales team with urgent coffee deliveries to customers
  • Position may require off hours and weekends at times (rotating weekend on-call schedule)
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer service requests and technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account management and sales, to address customer needs.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for field service operations.
  • Rebuilding equipment at the workbench for refurb projects and re-introduction of equipment into client spaces.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)


  • Proven experience in field technical service or a similar role, with at least 1 year of experience in said position.
  • Established technical background, with expertise in commercial coffee equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Basic knowledge of field service management software and systems i.e. ticketing systems, repair order systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for field service operations.
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Great oral and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record (required)
