Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Houston, TX is seeking experienced professionals to fill three School Psychologist positions for the upcoming school year. This contract role involves supporting K-12 students with psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention planning to enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of students K-12
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation and records in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to support student success
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 populations in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of educational psychology, testing protocols, and special education laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educational teams and families
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality
