Overview: As a Salesforce Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic implementation, optimization, and management of Salesforce solutions within CommonSail Investment Group. You will serve as a working manager, balancing leadership and technical responsibilities equally in your day to day. In addition to overseeing Salesforce initiatives, you will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of Salesforce professionals, ensuring the effective utilization of Salesforce capabilities to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to foster a high-performance and collaborative work environment.
  • Salesforce Administration: Oversee the configuration, customization, and administration of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.
  • Salesforce Architecture and Engineering: Designs, builds, configures and delivers scalable, secure, and strategic Salesforce solutions that align business needs with platform capabilities.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans for Salesforce implementation, optimization, and integration with other systems to support business objectives.
  • Project Management: Manage Salesforce projects from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Salesforce Governance: Establish and enforce Salesforce governance policies, procedures, and standards to maintain data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • User Training and Adoption: Assist in the delivery of training programs to educate users on Salesforce functionality, best practices, and new features to drive user adoption and maximize ROI.
  • Data Management: Oversee data management processes, including data cleansing, deduplication, migration, and integration to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within Salesforce.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools and metrics to track the performance and effectiveness of Salesforce solutions, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants to augment internal Salesforce capabilities and expertise as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on Salesforce initiatives, gather feedback, and address concerns to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Collaborate with business operations leaders to ensure system adoption.

Skills:

  • Salesforce Delivery Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in leading end-to-end Salesforce solution delivery, including strategic planning, platform design, configuration, deployment, and optimization across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, (and Marketing Cloud).
  • AgentForce Evaluation & Integration: Ability to assess the value and applicability of Salesforce AgentForce in relation to organizational needs. Can provide guidance on adoption, integration, and operational alignment.
  • Data Architecture & Governance: Defines and enforces scalable Salesforce data architecture, including lifecycle management, deduplication strategies, master data management, and standards to ensure long-term data integrity and performance.
  • Salesforce Lightning Experience: Deep knowledge of the Lightning platform, with the ability to design and develop intuitive, efficient user interfaces and manage custom components to enhance user engagement and operational productivity.
  • APEX Fundamentals: Strong background with APEX code development to effectively collaborate with development teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide custom development where declarative tools are insufficient.
  • Business Process Optimization: Skilled in analyzing and redesigning business processes for automation, efficiency, and scalability, while ensuring alignment with Salesforce capabilities and evolving business requirements.
  • Platform Architecture Oversight: Leads the design and governance of scalable Salesforce architecture that supports long-term performance, cross-cloud integration, and sustainable growth.
  • User Experience & Workflow Design: Expert in crafting high-impact UX strategies and workflow designs that promote user adoption, data accuracy, and consistent process execution across departments.
  • Custom Development Oversight: Guides and reviews Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations built by development teams or partners. Ensures adherence to architectural best practices, test coverage standards, and minimal technical debt.
  • System Integrations & API Management: Defines and oversees system integration strategy across platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware solutions, and native Salesforce connectors. Ensures secure, scalable, and reliable data flow between Salesforce and enterprise systems such as ERPs, support tools, and external databases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is required. Additional certifications such as Salesforce Certified Application/System Architect, Salesforce Certified Solution Architect, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Advanced Administrator or Salesforce Certified Sales/Service Cloud Consultant preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Salesforce administration, configuration, and customization, with a demonstrated track record of successful Salesforce implementations and project management.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, with proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Lightning Experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Knowledge of data management best practices, including data modeling, integration, and governance.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools.

General Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use their hands to handle the keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
