This opportunity is for Special Education Teachers with multiple openings available, offering the chance to work with K-8th grade students in a supportive educational setting. Positions include roles such as Life Skills Teacher, Teacher for Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Teacher for Orthopedic Impairment, Teacher for the Visually Impaired, Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC), and other Special Education teaching roles. Elementary positions are particularly available, with the consideration of caseload preferences during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 Certificate
- Experience writing and managing student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments tailored to diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Location:
- Aurora, Illinois
- Serving students from Kindergarten through 8th grade
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans and curricula based on individual educational needs
- Manage and maintain accurate student records, including comprehensive IEP documentation
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress and accommodations
- Adapt instructional methods to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills
