Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) Opening -Illinois
Location: Mount Prospect, IL
Hours: Full-Time
Contract Dates: August 2025 - June 2026
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is looking to hire a skilled and dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a full-time, school-based contract position for the 20252026 school year. This in-person role is located in Mount Prospect, IL, and involves delivering itinerant support to students across several school locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, from pre-k through high school.

Manage a caseload of approximately 2030 students.

Travel between 10-15 school sites during the day (mileage reimbursement provided).

Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with DHH endorsement.

Drivers license and reliable transportation required.

Itinerant teaching experience preferred.

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
