Tramec Plastics & Composites is currently seeking a Production Manager.

Position Summary:


The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor of a

plastic injection molding facility. This includes supervising staff, ensuring safety compliance,

maintaining quality standards, optimizing production efficiency, and reducing downtime. The ideal

candidate will have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of plastic injection molding

processes and equipment.


Shift:

Full-Time: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary.



Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise, train, and coordinate production staff to meet daily and weekly production goals.
  • Monitor machine operations, material flow, and production schedules to ensure efficiency and
  • timely output.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, working closely with maintenance and
  • engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate production records and submit required reports to management.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S implementation.
  • Lead shift changeovers with effective communication and documentation.
  • Support employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and scheduling.
  • Promote a positive work environment and high employee morale.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or related certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, resins, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
  • Proficient with MS Office and production tracking software (e.g., ERP/MES systems).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
