CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. Specialized care includes orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women’s services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more. The campus also boasts an Outpatient Imaging Center and three medical plazas, one of which houses our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Health Center.&nbsp;
Our 27-bed Emergency Department is designated as a Level 4 Trauma Center. The ED is capable of providing emergency, urgent and non-urgent care to patients of all ages. Patients in need of medical-surgical and sub-specialty services are seen and treated in the Emergency Department. The patients seeking care have a wide range of needs from basic ambulatory care to trauma intervention and life support. We are a primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) center and Primary Stroke Center. Currently working on an ED expansion plan to include the addition of patient treatments rooms as well as CT, X-Ray and Laboratory all located inside the Emergency Department.&nbsp;

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform expert leadership skills in the management&nbsp;of staff and coordination of patient care activities. Work collaboratively with all healthcare providers and non-health care providers. Serves as a mentor and role model for all staff. Reports to a Nursing Director or Executive Director.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
\n\n
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Texas. BSN is required. National certification (e.g.,&nbsp;CCRN, RNC, CEN, CNOR, OCN, ANCC, CAN, CPAN, CFRN, etc.) in related fields is required. Three (3) years of&nbsp;recent, full-time hospital or clinic experience are required.&nbsp;&nbsp;Verification of course completion in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required.&nbsp;External applicants must have at least two (2) years in an equivalent management capacity.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
\n\n
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; A current&nbsp;license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
