Job DescriptionOverview of the CT Technologist Position

The CT Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging using advanced multi-slice CT scanners. This role involves administering contrast agents and closely monitoring patients, requiring sound independent judgment. Candidates must hold certifications in radiologic and CT technology, possess patient care skills, and actively engage in a collaborative healthcare environment. Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct a range of technical and patient care tasks that necessitate independent decision-making while utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner.
  • Employ power injectors and monitoring devices effectively.
  • Initiate IVs and administer IV, oral, or rectal contrast as directed by the attending physician.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all patients.
  • Engage actively in a team-oriented environment, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Utilize radiology technology expertise to perform diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
  • Within one year of employment:
  • National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography certification or National Computed Tomography Technologist certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least one year in a CT Scan department preferred.

The wage range for this position is provided, with the successful candidate's placement determined by relevant experience and other applicable factors. This range reflects base pay; additional compensation may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses.
