In this role, you will provide direct patient care across all facets of respiratory therapy, following the directives of physicians. You will also collaborate with doctors to assess the effectiveness of treatments and serve as a knowledgeable resource for both medical staff and nursing teams regarding respiratory care. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed.

Location: Our facility serves St. Louis and nearby communities, including Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Perry, and Southeast.

Position Type: RRT and CRT GIG

Compensation: $35/hr for RRT, $30/hr for CRT, plus Variable Shift Incentives.

Enjoy flexibility in choosing your shifts, whether day or night, to suit your schedule.

No mandatory weekends, holidays, or specific shift requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

As a respiratory therapist, you will:

  • Deliver direct patient care in all areas of respiratory therapy, adhering to physician orders.
  • Consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of treatment plans.
  • Serve as an advanced resource for medical staff and nursing in respiratory care matters.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program.

Licensure: Must meet state licensure standards and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.

Certifications: Must hold either the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For those working in the Emergency Room, PALS certification is required, along with ACLS certification.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience is required, excluding orientation time.

Physical Requirements: The role involves physical demands such as pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, as well as pinching up to 10 lbs, kneeling, crouching, and minimal crawling.

Equipment: Familiarity with all relevant respiratory care equipment is necessary.

Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is highly desirable.
