A Registered Nurse with Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is needed for a contract position in the Blue Springs, MO area. This role focuses on providing skilled nursing care on a stepdown unit, caring for patients requiring close monitoring following intensive care. Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure required
- Minimum of 1 year PCU nursing experience
- Preferred experience with high acuity drips, arterial lines, and respiratory support devices such as BiPAP and Airvo
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Location:This position is based near Liberty, MO, a community known for its blend of historic charm and modern living. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including medication administration and continuous monitoring
- Manage patients with complex conditions requiring advanced interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to lesser acuity units as needed
- Work every other weekend and major holidays with managerial schedule flexibility
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715)
Contract Details:This is a contract role with orientation provided Monday through Friday during daytime hours. The contract offers bi-weekly pay and operates in a nicotine-free facility.
