- Orientation: Twice monthly for new travel nurses\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

- Active and unencumbered RN license (North Carolina or compact state)\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience\n
- Must meet all pre-employment screenings and background checks\n
- Eligible as a travel nurse (must reside at least 60 miles from Sylva, NC)\n
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP certifications preferred\n
\n\nL&D Nurse Responsibilities\n

- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit\n
- Monitor, assess, and support patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages\n
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes\n
- Administer medications, IVs, and prescribed treatments as directed\n
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum recovery, and newborn care\n
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with hospital and nursing standards\n
