Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / IR Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and strong interventional radiology (IR) skills for a mixed lab environment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a combined IR, cardiology, vascular, and EP lab with 80% interventional radiology cases
- Adult and geriatric patient population with cases including device implants such as PPM and ICD
- Procedures involve both diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology
- Work schedule consists of 8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 07:30–16:00
- Call required: two weekday nights per week for 2 out of 4 weeks each month and one weekend per month (Friday 16:00 to Monday 07:30)
- No call obligation the week following a weekend call
- No floating required for this position
- No RTO (requested time off) allowed after booking or during holidays
- Uses GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Pneumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy, Bovi System, Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound, IABP, Impella
- Assist providers with diagnostic and interventional procedures in both radiology and cardiology
- Typically start shifts directly on the unit each Monday until Dimensions training is complete
- Call back required within 30 minutes for STEMI; IR call back depends on procedure type
- Call team is made up of three staff, including an RN; medication administration is performed by RN only
- 13-week contract minimum, with options up to 20 weeks available
- Unit orientation will be 40–80 hours
- Scrubs are provided
- Every third weekend is required
- Local candidates are accepted

- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in cath lab or interventional radiology
- Must have IR experience, which will compose 90% of cases
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and ARRT or RCIS (license required if applicable)
- Experience in scrubbing, circulating, and telemetry
- Preferred skills: EKG lead placement
- Preferred certifications: ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, RCIS with medical experience
