Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role involves leadership and direct management of pharmacy operations at the designated location, ensuring that all objectives are met with excellence. The Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) plays a critical role in strategizing future growth, guiding the management team, and maintaining the financial health of the pharmacy.

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Shift: Day shift with the responsibility to provide 24-hour direction and support to employees and pharmacy services as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure adequate staffing to maintain scheduled hours of operation
Perform pharmacy personnel duties when necessary
Oversee dispensing of pharmaceutical products, supplies, and equipment
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (state, federal, and accreditation standards)
Assist in developing and revising policies and procedures
Lead orientation and training programs
Participate in inspections, survey readiness, and accreditation processes
Maintain effective communication and perform various physical tasks such as filing and standing as needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

B.S. or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school
Active Iowa pharmacist license (additional licensure may be required)
Minimum of 4 years recent clinical pharmacy experience
Required home infusion experience
At least 2 years recent clinical pharmacy management experience
Familiarity with CPR+ software is preferred
