New Orleans, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Skilled Laborer.
Essential Duties:
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
• Clean and prepare construction sites to remove hazards
• Excavate by hand ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes
• Position, join, align, or seal structural components, including concrete wall sections or pipes
• Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, or tools and distribute them according to project plans
• Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete using saws, hammers, and similar tools
• Complete equipment reports on rack trucks and compressors
• Organize and maintain tool trailers in an orderly manner
Requirements/Skills:
• 2+ years of heavy/civil construction experience preferred
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and perform strenuous work in varied conditions
• Good physical health and flexibility to bend, push, pull, and stoop/twist
• Understanding of proper tool and equipment procedures
• Valid driver’s license
• TWIC card
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, push, pull, stoop, twist, and perform strenuous manual labor
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
