Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
At this healthcare position in Plymouth, WI, the role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures under the guidance of radiologists or other healthcare providers. The professional operating imaging equipment will ensure high-quality imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and safety through adherence to radiation protection standards and established protocols.
Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients accurately for imaging studies, obtaining and documenting medical histories, and clearly communicating exam procedures. The role also requires collaboration with radiologists and ordering providers for exam protocols and order clarifications. Additional duties involve operating PACS systems to approve and archive images, documenting fluoroscopy times and radiation exposure, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, and willingness to support departmental needs through shift rotations and reassignment are expected.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Proficiency in general X-Ray and portable imaging to support emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings
- Full CT imaging experience, supporting emergency and inpatient services (excluding invasive procedures)
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation protection, ALARA principles, OSHA standards, and appropriate safety practices
- Experience with EPIC workflow and comprehensive documentation skills
- Ability to mentor and onboard new staff and support a positive teaching environment
