An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with stepdown/PCU experience in Liberty, Missouri. This contract position offers a chance to practice in a dynamic clinical environment requiring strong nursing skills, particularly on a stepdown unit.
Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients on a Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate critical care, including arterial lines and high acuity drips
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to lesser acuity units as needed, demonstrating flexibility
- Work every other weekend and major holidays with managerial scheduling support
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license with ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Minimum 1 year of PCU nursing experience required
- Preferred experience includes managing high acuity drips, arterial lines, and familiarity with BiPAP and Airvo respiratory support
- No new graduates; experienced clinicians only
Orientation and Requirements:
- Orientation runs Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; next sessions available
- Candidates must be nicotine-free due to facility policy
- Credentials must be submitted one week prior to start
