Job Position: Welder
Location: DALLAS, TX 75211
Pay Rate: $19.00-21.00/hr
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team and contribute to the production of wire frames used in concrete construction. The ideal candidate will have experience with wire sizes, wire feed speeds, and heat settings necessary for high-quality welds. This role is critical in ensuring strong and reliable infrastructure.
Responsibilities

Read and interpret production work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine layout and welding procedures.

Set up welding equipment and prepare materials according to job specifications.

Align and secure components using measuring tools, clamps, and jigs.

Perform MIG welding operations to join steel bars into wire frames.

Inspect and test welded structures to ensure quality and detect defects.

Lift, position, and stack heavy components safely and efficiently.

Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure safe and optimal performance.

Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate protective gear (face shields, gloves, etc.).
Requirements

Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Proficiency in MIG welding techniques, equipment operation, and procedures.

Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.

Strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices.

Basic math skills and ability to take precise measurements within 1/16”.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and work orders.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as required.

Familiarity with power and hand tools used in welding.

Ability to understand and communicate in conversational English preferred.

Completion of a relevant apprenticeship program or welding certification is a plus.
