Job DescriptionSalary: $15-$16 per hour
The Hampshire Township Park District Gym Supervisor is responsible for the facility operation and management of Game Officials, volunteer coaches and staff of youth and/or adult athletic contests sponsored by the Hampshire Township Park District during the week (Monday - Friday.) The position has varied hours of 12-20 hours per week depending on the team and school schedules. Hours are typically M-F 5pm - 9pm.
- Assists Athletic Department in planning, implementing and overseeing sports and recreation activities for youth and adult patrons.
- Assures staff and patron compliance with program and facility use policies and procedures.
- Provides oversight on use, maintenance, repairs and improvements to Recreation facilities to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Assists in developing and maintaining a monthly calendar of events.
- Provides information to staff and patrons of recreation activities, hours of operation and other related information.
- Acts as a role model, demonstrating mature judgment and clear standards of behavior.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position requires medium/heavy physical work exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects in the performance of duties.
- This position requires the following physical activities: standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, grasping, feeling, climbing, and reaching.

License:
- Driver's License (Required)
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
AND
- Present documentation of current CPR and first aid certification or be willing to finish CPR certification.
