Role Overview

As a Lead Trainer, you’ll deliver dynamic, high-energy group training sessions, lead and develop the trainer staff, and serve as a community leader within the gym. You’ll embody Burn’s brand and values while helping grow membership, retention, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead approximately up to 50 group “camps” each week following Burn Boot Camp protocols.
  • Deliver safe, challenging workouts that adapt to all fitness levels and offer modifications.
  • Conduct personalized Focus Meetings with ~60–80% of active members to help them set and track goals.
  • Provide one-on-one nutritional guidance and accountability support.
  • Mentor, train, and coach support trainers to meet Burn Boot Camp standards.
  • Hold weekly staff trainings to reinforce the programming protocol and share client feedback.
  • Lead by example and nurture a positive, energetic environment.
  • Assist with membership conversion efforts—close at least 60% of trial clients and engage in post-trial follow‐up.
  • Support in promoting revenue streams such as nutrition products, merchandise, and system-wide fitness challenges.
  • Execute local social media strategies, create content, and contribute to digital engagement.
  • Host monthly seminars and attend community or philanthropic events regularly.
  • Ensure post-class equipment cleanup and gym organization.
  • Perform regular facility walkthroughs and report issues promptly.
  • Participate in team and leadership meetings focused on performance outcomes, events, storytelling, and new initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent); or bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology preferred
  • Valid CPR / AED certification.
  • Ability to pass the Burn Boot Camp Strength and Conditioning (SAC) test.
  • At least 1 year of experience delivering group fitness or coaching trainers.
  • Strong verbal communication, energy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Social media-savvy with experience in content creation for brand engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays as needed.
